We then hosted our usual End-of-season Awards virtually, with Eoin Doyle and Anthony Grant scooping two awards each. At this event we were happy to be joined by representatives of SAS Travel, the STFC Disables Supporters Club and the Swindon Advertiser, who all presented their awards too.
We all love our dancing and mischievous Rockin' Robin mascot at Swindon Town home games where he brings great pleasure to Town fans, especially the Junior Robins, with his dancing and engagement with fans.
Rockin' Robin has been dreadfully missed the last few home games and there is a reason for him not showing off his dancing during this period.
No, he hasn’t flown away to mate for the winter or run off with his girlfriend to get married; simply the suit he wears has unfortunately fallen apart and is now unusable and unrepairable.
The current suit is over 7 years old and has been looking its age recently and prior to Christmas it finally fell apart.
The TrustSTFC and The Official Supporters Club therefore contacted the club and offered and agreed to jointly fund the purchase of a brand new suit for our very own mascot.
The new suit design, largely in line with the current suit is shown above and has one new major addition to it; that being the design includes the ability for us to add the home shirt to the outfit each season for the Robin to be current and on brand for that season.
We are delighted with the new suit and we are all looking forward to seeing Rockin' at the next home game.
The Trust and OSC would like to thank Danny Lee from the club for all his support and help in getting the new suit project over the line.
STFC Trust and Official Supporters Club.
Please contact either James Spencer at the TrustSTFC or Hannah Clinch at the Official Supporters Club for further details.
James Spencer from the TrustSTFC and Hannah Clinch from the OSC, commented below on the project and new suit:
James said “We all felt that at the TrustSTFC we wanted to ensure our Swindon mascot was looking sharp and had a new suit to delight all his fans so we agreed with the Official Supporters Club that we would jointly fund a new suit for him, this is a significant investment for both sides but we really felt passionate that we wanted to do this to ensure Rockin was looking his best for his dance routines, we are delighted with the outcome”.
Hannah added “All of us at the Official Supporters Club had agreed that Rockin’ Robin has been looking a little worse for wear recently, so we’re pleased to have been able to join forces with TrustSTFC to fund a new suit to get him back out on the pitch, where he belongs! We hope you all like the new suit as much as we do! “
For Saturday's visit of Forest Green Rovers to the County Ground, three Swindon Town Supporters Groups have joined forces to colour the ground RED and WHITE when the teams walk out onto the pitch at 14:55!
The aim of this 'Tifo' is to energise the County Ground faithful ahead of another crucial game in Town's League 2 promotion bid (or dare we say title chase?).
Let's make it another brilliant home game to remember for Richie Wellens' men!
This has been jointly organised and funded by all three supporter groups and we hope you like it and have a great day supporting the boys!

Finally, (for this calendar year!) we’ve run another live online quiz over on our online quiz over on our Facebook page. This is free for everyone to watch you don’t need a Facebook account to view the videos or to take part in the quiz.
Ahead of the festive period, we’ve teamed up with STFC Community Foundation to provide
Christmas parcels to 100 vulnerable fans. A group of volunteers from both the Foundation
and OSC have lined up to make deliveries in Swindon on Tuesday 22nd December.
We originally tried to send out traditional Christmas dinners, but this proved impossible,
so instead they have got a package of Christmas treats and some goodies that we are sure will
bring a little relief to these testing times.
On the same evening the Foundation will be running a Q&A with management and staff
from STFC, and they’ll have a short, fun pub quiz to test out the fans on all things STFC,
once again using the Zoom annual subscription that the OSC purchased for the

Following on from the latest ownership developments, and numerous requests for us to do so, we want to make the OSC position clear.
Our Constitution states our mission is “to provide both direct and indirect benefits to members and the football club’s wider fan base, making supporting STFC as enjoyable as possible”. It also states our vision is “a positive and engaging atmosphere for all STFC supporters, resulting in an increasingly engaged fan base and a positive match-day atmosphere”.
The current ownership situation, coupled with little to no communication around both refunds for last year’s season tickets and the situation around those for the upcoming season, is extremely unsettling and makes our mission and vision impossible to achieve.
As a result, we encourage the current ownership to start engaging with the fanbase immediately or to quickly step aside for a new owner, to give the club the best chance for a successful season. Whoever that owner is, we will fully support them as long as they are respectful to the fans and operate transparently.
As long as the current situation continues however, we cannot in good conscience provide the usual financial contributions to the club through channels such as player sponsorships.
For clarity, we are open to working directly with suppliers to fund initiatives that directly benefit the fans, such as ground improvements.
We are ready to review this decision as soon as the situation improves. We realise that not everyone will agree with this decision, but we feel things have gone too far for us to continue as we are. That we are even in a place, whereby we are having to make this decision, is regrettable.
For the visit of Blackpool we put up fans’ flags on the Stratton Bank, to show the players our support while we can’t be in the ground. Thank you to everyone who has volunteered from the OSC, GWReds and Trust STFC to help with this!
Steve, Hannah, Reevesy and Peter were hanging flags on a VERY sunny Friday, before the visit of Blackpool.
If anyone has a flag that they’d like us to hang out for the next home game that we are allowed in the ground, please get in touch!
