Vic Morgan
Media/Social Media
My name is Vic Morgan, and it’s been an honour to have recently joined the committee of the Official Supporters Club. I’ve supported Swindon Town for as long as I can remember. My first game was in February 1968. It finished Swindon 3 Walsall 0. I was hooked and have been ever since. I’ve been fortunate to also report and commentate on Swindon for many years. Highlights including the record-breaking promotion of 1985/86, the Wembley wins in 1990 and 1993 and play off promotion in 86/87. I suppose the biggest highlight of all was being at Wembley for the 1969 League Cup Final win over Arsenal. I can still see Sir Don Rogers round Bob Wilson and slot home that third goal. My favourite player? Will Dixon, the mustachioed full back from the 1970s. Always loved his wholehearted effort....Read More

Ray Bunce
Committee Member
When did you start supporting the club? My first game was a preseason friendly against Burnley in 1975, I believe it was a 3-1 win, and I was pretty much hooked, right from the start. Why did you want to join the OSC committee? I basically feel that the supporters are the club, and whilst players / managers / owners come and go we are the constant factor that keeps the club alive. With this in mind, I want to help the OSC to continue to promote all thing STFC. It also comes with the added bonus of continuing to meet likeminded people, whilst also providing the opportunity to actively support the charity fund raising activities. Here do you sit at the County Ground? I have a season ticket in the John Trollope Arkells stand. What’s your favourite STFC team from over the years? I loo...Read More
Andy Garrett
Secretary
My Dad was always a big town fan and he had been going since just after the war. I introduced me to Following Swindon in the early seventies even though I do have a memory of sitting on my dad’s shoulders outside the town hall when we won the league cup in 69. I first went to a couple reserve games in the 71/72 season when they played on a Saturday afternoon when the 1st team were away and remember seeing Arsenal reserves with the likes of Sammy Nelson and John Radford playing. My first away game was in January 73 away to Bristol City which we lost I think 3-0. I started going regularly in the 73/74 season when we were relegated. I have been involved setting up the programme shop in the legends a couple of years ago however due to work was unable to commit further. But no I have j...Read More
